Product Details
The Traverse Handle Shaft (Knob sold separately 004-0015-46) is a vital control element within the base assembly of the Kwik-Way SVS II Deluxe Valve Refacer.
This robust handle serves multiple key functions for precise valve grinding and machine operation. Primarily, it allows the operator to advance the grinding wheel spindle to the left, a necessary step in setting spindle slide stops and initiating contact between the grinding wheel and the valve.
Furthermore, the Traverse Handle governs the lateral movement of the grinding wheel across the valve face, enabling an even and consistent grind through controlled back-and-forth motion.
Beyond valve grinding, this handle is also used to accurately position both the valve grinding wheel and the stem grinding wheel relative to the diamond dressing tool for essential maintenance. For added safety and convenience, moving the Traverse Handle to its far-right position automatically activates a switch that shuts down the spindle motor, chuck motor, and coolant pump.
