Product Details
Ensure precise temperature monitoring with our Heat Tabs. This pack includes 100 individual tabs made with a specialized alloy designed to flow (melt) within the temperature range of 255 to 260 degrees Fahrenheit.
These heat-sensitive indicators offer a simple and cost-effective method for verifying if a critical temperature has been attained or surpassed on various surfaces or within systems. To use, simply adhere a tab to the area you wish to monitor. If the temperature reaches the specified range, the tab will melt, providing immediate visual confirmation.
Heat Tabs are suitable for a wide array of applications, including:
- Monitoring temperature levels in thermal processes.
- Verifying operational temperatures of machinery.
- Identifying potential overheating scenarios.
- Quality assurance checks requiring specific temperature compliance.
- Assisting in thermal diagnostics.
Each pack contains 100 individual tabs, providing a practical quantity for numerous monitoring tasks. Rely on these dependable Heat Tabs to ensure the integrity and safety of your operations.
Product Specifications:
- Alloy Flow Temperature: 255-260 degrees Fahrenheit
- Quantity: 100 Tabs per Pack
Choose Heat Tabs for simple and accurate temperature indication within the 255-260°F range.
These are Diesel heat tabs and they melt at 255-260 F
(need a lower temp tab, try 411-5811-90)
When you attach a heat tab to the engine it provides visual evidence that an engine has been overheated. A special heat sensitive metal has been formed into the center of the tab. When an engine reaches the tab’s melting point, this metal will melt and flow out. This is a positive method of determining that a rebuilt engine has been heated beyond normal operating temperature, voiding the warranty.
Attach a Heat Tab to the upper portion of the block or to the cylinder head casting with Aluminum Paste (411-5811-82). DO NOT attach to manifolds or shielding.
