Unlike standard “chisel” air hammers, this tool features a short ¾” stroke and a high blow rate of up to 13,000 BPM, making it ideal for achieving quality peening results. The Key Differences:

• Short Stroke: Unlike most “chisel” air hammers that feature a longer stroke of 1.5 to 2.5 inches (ideal for chiseling), this Peening Air Hammer boasts a significantly shorter ¾” stroke. This shorter stroke is crucial for achieving the controlled and effective impact necessary for quality peening work on castings.
• High Blows Per Minute (BPM): While many less expensive air hammers operate at around 6,000 BPM or less, our Peening Air Hammer delivers an impressive 0 to 13,000 BPM. This high frequency of blows ensures efficient and consistent peening action.

This air hammer is a higher quality device specifically manufactured for the task of peening castings, making it a quality tool for producing quality results. Its design features only two primary moving parts – the piston and the metering trigger – which contributes to its long operational life and minimizes maintenance costs.

For optimal control over the peening speed and intensity, it is highly recommended to use an Air Flow valve (sold separately) with this air hammer.
