During the installation process, this Tip Expander Driver works in conjunction with the slide hammer assembly (437-6995-25) and the tip expander (437-6551-21). The procedure involves using the slide hammer assembly to apply force to the Tip Expander Driver. This tapping action continues until the tip expander reaches the bottom of the new injector sleeve’s nose. The resulting expansion of the smaller end of the replacement sleeve ensures a secure and tight fit within the cylinder head. Once the expansion is complete, the expanding unit, including the tip expander and driver, is withdrawn from the newly installed sleeve.
