2. Inserting the Removal Tool: The [448-6774-30] Sleeve Removal Tool, which features a threaded puller shaft, is then carefully inserted down into the interior of the tapped old sleeve.
3. Gripping the Sleeve: By applying torque to the puller shaft of the removal tool, the threads engage with the newly tapped threads inside the sleeve, creating a firm grip.
4. Mechanical Extraction: Finally, a puller bridge (or cup), a thrust bearing, and two thrust washers are positioned between the puller nut (located on the threaded shaft of the removal tool) and the face of the engine block. Tightening the puller nut then exerts upward force, mechanically pulling the old and worn injector sleeve out of the engine bore.
