Spray Bulb for Magnetic Powder Application

Our Magnetic Powder Spraying Bulb.

This is not your ordinary spray bulb. Made of real rubber and not vinyl or plastics that break down and lose their elasticity. The spray end is metal treated to never rust nor magnetize which would cause it to clog with powder. We have been selling this same spray bulb since the 1960s. It's the real deal and worth twice the price!

Magnetic Crack Detection uses the properties of magnetism to find cracks that are difficult for the human eye to see.
The presence of a surface or subsurface discontinuity (crack) in the material allows the magnetic flux to leak since air cannot support as much magnetic field per unit volume as metals. Ferrous iron particles are then applied to the part, typically using a spray bulb. If an area of flux leakage is present, the particles will be attracted to this area making it visible. The particles will build up at the area of leakage and form what is known as an indication. The indication can then be evaluated to determine what it is, what may have caused it, and what action should be taken if any.
A popular name for magnetic particle inspection is/or used to be magnafluxing; The company of the same name was one of the early manufacturers of equipment and materials for the process.
