    • Slide the Guide Bushing (PN 416‑6158‑32) over the cutter on the end entering the injector bore.
    • Place the cutter (with pilot and bushing) into the Driving Arbor (PN 414‑6114‑10).
  3. Install in the injector bore

    • Insert the complete assembly into the injector bore in the cylinder head.
    • The pilot centers in the bore, and the guide bushing stabilizes the cutter.
  4. Use cutting fluid

    • Apply EA Lube (PN 468‑9910‑08) generously to the cutter and bore.
    • Keep the area wet while cutting to improve finish and extend tool life.
  5. Set the cutting speed

    • Run the machine at approximately 60–80 RPM, adjusting as necessary for smooth cutting and minimal chatter.
  6. Control the amount of metal removed

    • The objective is to clean up only the seat area, removing:
      • Minimum: about 0.002”–0.003”
      • Maximum: about 0.005”
    • Stop once pitting and corrosion are gone and the seat is uniform and clean.
  7. After cutting

    • Clean the area thoroughly to remove chips and cutting fluid before proceeding with sleeve installation.
